NZ POLICE VETTING CHECKS
To contribute to a safe and secure Softball environment, CSA require individuals who have applied for a some positions with CSA or with member clubs, to be subject to Police Vetting Checks.
Police Vetting can only be carried out with the signed consent of the person being vetted. Consent is provided by completing the Request and Consent form linked above.
As noted in previous communications, changes are underway to support the Vetting Bill, currently before Parliament.
A new Police Vetting Request & Consent Form is now available on the Police vetting website.
The new form includes references to the proposed legislation, and additional fields to capture parent/guardian consent for 14- and 15-year-olds. Agencies may begin using the new form now.
To support a smooth transition, we will continue accepting the current version of the form (‘07/23’) until 31 December 2025 or otherwise notified.
